About

We sell high quality scented candles to raise money to set people in Pakistan and India free from brick kiln slavery.

What does Atonaroma mean?

Atonaroma is more than just an artisan candle brand. It is a symbol of compassion, hope, and the transformative power of faith.

The name "Atonaroma" is derived from two words: "atonement" and "aroma."

Atonement represents the divine act of redemption and reconciliation, while aroma signifies the captivating and gracious scent that our candles emanate. Combined, these words encapsulate our purpose – to spread the fragrance of God's grace and bring deliverance to those suffering in modern-day slavery.

How did Atonaroma start?

Our journey began with church planters who learned about the firsthand the plight of millions of individuals trapped in brick kilns in Pakistan and India due to seemingly insurmountable debts. These individuals, along with their descendants, are condemned to a life of servitude as their wages are insufficient to repay the crippling interest on their debts.

Two scriptures serves as a guiding light in our effort to help: 2 Corinthians 2:14 and Ephesians 5:2. The verse from 2 Corinthians reminds us: "Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place."

The words of Ephesians 5:2 further inspire us to "walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God."

Standing on these promises of victory and the call to love, our faithful team make and sell candles in order to raise funds to help free families out of brick kiln slavery.

We believe in a comprehensive approach that addresses not only the immediate rescue of individuals but also provides long-term support, such as education, vocational training, safe housing, and healthcare.

At Atonaroma, we believe in the power of unity and collective action for good; therefore, we seek partnerships and promote collaboration between like-minded groups who share the same vision. Together, we can ignite a movement that transcends borders and cultures, bringing hope to those who need it the most.
